These are the things we did at camp: orienteering, archery, rifle range, waterhole, kayaking, burma trail, climbing wall, outdoor cooking, confidence course, creation factory, t-shirt designing, campfire singing, hanging out with my mates in the cabin and eating all the delicious food. I had a great time at Camp Carey! Thanks to all my mates and teachers. So if you're looking for a good school go to Beachhaven Primary. (I know she wanted to say thanks for coming MUM!-I had a great time too)

Yakking

Hiya. Well we've had an unexpected start to the new year...Aunty Eileen passed away! The phone calls have stopped (we'd be worried if they hadn't) but it isn't until it's too late that you realise how much somebody can mean to you. I miss her heaps!!! it did mean however that we had Uncle Vince and Uncle Kev come over from Adelaide and Paul, ky and the kids up from Christchurch. Aunty would of been pleased everyone came for her but annoyed that she missed out on the meals! Was great to have everyone here, even if it wasn't for the best reason. And what family get together wouldn't be the same without a few family dramas?
Anyway thanks to everyone who came to see Aunty Eileen off on the last leg of her journey and to all of those people who were there for her throughout different stages in her life. She will be remembered with loads of love and laughter.
Other news is....Scotty (we are not meant to call him Scott anymore)has started at Birkenhead college and is already forgetting to bring his homework home! He says he's enjoying it. He is practising his karakia that he is learning in his Maori class and is very keen on this subject. Suppose we better find out a bit about his background now.
Nomes is in the last year of primary and is heading off to camp (with her insane mother) the week before Easter. Her best friend Sumaya has gone to live in Iraq for 2 years so we are going to get a webcam for her to stay in touch with Skype. Nomes is about to start netball again and has decided to play the ukelele also. With her on that, Scotty on the brass thing he's learning and Ernie on the drums....man and I can't even sing!
Ernie's back at Mono! I know had to happen. Anyway he loves being back there and comes home smiling everyday. As for me I'm being bloody insane-I'm studying again-going for my Degree but it's harder this time because I'm doing distance learning.
Catch up with you all again soon. Take care
